Costume and Charecter Research

Costume in any film is very impotant as it can connote a lot of things, this is why we had decided for the boss in our opening film to wear formal clothes (shirt and tie). This is to show authority of the boss, we wanted to portray the boss as powerful and to show superiority. We got this idea from other films, we have noticed that a lot  of the villains in films wear suits to show

This is Hans Gruber he is the villain from the film Die Hard. The Die Hard franchise is one of the biggest actions film series. Has Gruber would be perfect or our opening segment we would like our boss to be like his as you can see he looks really laid back and serious at the same time. He seems to stay calm at crucial moment when others would be panicking under immense pressure. the background they have used makes him look like a really important, rich and intense a business man.

The joker is one of the biggest villain in history, and nearly everyone know the joker because of his humour and his obsession with the Batman. as you can see from the picture on the left he is wearing a suit. joker would be a good character in our film as he is dresses formally, he is dressed in odd colours but its suits his character and his personality. we want our boss to dress formally but we want it also to reflect on his personality.

This shows the Age, gender and class of the movie “The Dark Knight” this film is a very popular crime movie and has been voted the 5^th best crime movie ever made. From this table I can see that the target audience will be male, as you can see 62% of men have watched the dark knight and only 38% of female. Majority of the audience are 15 plus, age 7-14, the audience is only 12% and age 15-45+ the audience is 88%.
